First pictures of our block

So after a lunch time drive and a walk through the mud, here are the first photos of our block of dirt!

At the moment, there is a massive mound of dirt/soil that pretty much covers the entire lot however this will be moved once the developer gets through to constructing our stage - which hopefully won't be more than a couple of months (depending on the weather!)

And so the journey begins....

On Sunday 24 February, Karlee and I signed a contract on a block of land at the Woodlands Estate at Waterford, Qld. Located in the yet-to-be-constructed Stage 17, our 640m2 traditional lot won't register until mid-late June, however that gives us plenty of time to go through the fun & games with the builder.

The block is a little smaller than we would like however we are within walking distance to a big central parklands area so that more than makes up for the slightly-lacking backyard.

After much too-ing and fro-ing, we have settled on the Retreat Nouveau Q1 design by Plantation Homes. We love the layout and the separate living space for the (future) kids and gives us enough room to move as our family expands. I have attached a couple of photos to give a sneak-peak as to our new home.

We have paid our initial deposit with Plantation and are now waiting for them to call so we can arrange a time to meet with them at their Studio at Springwood to progress to the next steps.

It's going to be an exciting time for us over the next 6-9 months and we will provide updates and photos via this blog as regularly as things progress.
